Friedel Jewish Academy: A Passion and Commitment to Education

General Studies

Friedel students benefit from a small student/teacher ratio and an unsurpassed general studies program. They consistently rank in the top percentiles in reading and math, as tested yearly by the national TerraNova Achievement Tests, and easily transition to middle school, where most place in advanced classes.

We believe in learning by doing - fostering friendships from our Israeli 'twin' school, devising projects for our science fair or rehearsing for a statewide speech contest (come see our trophies). We pursue rich learning opportunities outside the classroom, sometimes the best way to study rocket ships is simply to build one and send it off.

Jewish Studies

Friedel Nurtures a postive Jewish identity that comes from strength and knowledge. We are accredited by the prestigious TaL AM Hebrew and Judaic Studies Program. Hebrew is taught in a total immersion program with movement, music, verbal and visual cues. We celebrate the Jewish holidays, cultivate ethics and values of Torah, and connect with our brothers and sisters in Israel. We have fun!

With this approach, Friedel students becomes informed and active community members, committed to Tikkun Olam - perfecting our world.
